Connecting a Wallet
To interact with Orion - deposit into vaults, withdraw, or create strategies - you’ll need to connect a Web3 wallet.
We recommend starting with MetaMask, one of the most widely used wallets in DeFi.
Step 1: Install MetaMask
If you don’t have MetaMask yet:
- Visit the official site: metamask.io
- Download the browser extension for Chrome, Brave, or Firefox.
- Follow the setup instructions to create a wallet.
- Important: Store your seed phrase securely - never share it with anyone.
Step 2: Unlock Your Wallet
- Click the MetaMask icon in your browser’s extensions bar.
- Enter your password to unlock your wallet.
Step 3: Connect to Orion
- Go to app.orionfinance.ai.
- Click the "Connect Wallet" button (top right corner).
- Select MetaMask from the list of wallet options.
- Approve the connection in your MetaMask popup.
Step 4: Select the Correct Network
- Orion supports Ethereum mainnet and selected Layer 2 networks (check the in-app network selector for the latest list).
- If prompted, approve the network switch in MetaMask.
- If the network isn’t added to MetaMask yet, Orion will provide the details for you to add it.
Step 5: You’re Connected
Once connected, your wallet address will appear in the top right corner of the app.
You can now:
- Deposit into vaults.
- Withdraw your assets.
- Create and manage vaults (if you’re a curator).
Troubleshooting
- Not seeing the connection prompt? Refresh the page and try again.
- Wrong network? Manually switch networks in MetaMask.
- Using multiple wallets? Make sure only the one you want to connect is active in your browser.
