Troubleshooting

Known issues when using the Orion app, and how to fix them.

Rabby Wallet: Sepolia RPC / "chain is not available on free plan"

Rabby's built-in Sepolia network uses https://sepolia.drpc.org. That endpoint often rejects requests with chain is not available on free plan, so Approve or Deposit can fail when Rabby looks up nonce or sends the transaction.

You might see:

  • The Orion app opens a wallet popup, then Rabby shows a dRPC or "free plan" error
  • Approvals or deposits fail with a network / RPC error, even though your Sepolia ETH balance looks fine

This is a wallet RPC setting. The Orion app cannot replace Rabby's built-in Sepolia endpoint for you.

Fix: set a Custom RPC for Sepolia

  1. Open the Rabby extension.

  2. Click More, then Custom RPC.

  3. Select Ethereum Sepolia (chain ID 11155111).

  4. Replace the RPC URL with a working public endpoint. We recommend:

    https://ethereum-sepolia-rpc.publicnode.com

  5. Save, then retry Approve or Deposit in the Orion app.

Other Sepolia RPCs that work are listed under Public RPC Endpoints.

dRPC free-plan error

If Rabby shows chain is not available on free plan, replace the built-in Sepolia URL (https://sepolia.drpc.org) with another RPC from Public RPC Endpoints. That host is Rabby's default; it only needs changing when it returns the free-plan error.

Wallet won't connect

  • Refresh the page and click Connect Wallet again.
  • Switch your wallet to Ethereum Sepolia or Ethereum mainnet, depending on which network you intend to use.
  • If several wallet extensions are installed, keep only the one you want active.

See Connecting a Wallet for the full connect flow.
